TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA)–Veterans Memorial Park in Tupelo got a nice addition Sunday. A piece of the former Vanelli’s Greek and Italian restaurant on North Gloster St. moved to the park this weekend.
The restaurant’s owner Voz Vanelli donated his outside pavilion to the city. The April tornado destroyed his business and one of the few things left standing was the pavilion.
The pavilion now sits near the baseball fields and aquatic center. It will serve as a reminder of the Tupelo tornado.
Wow it looks great! This was such a nice gesture on your part and I am sure the community will enjoy it for years to come. God bless.
